My First Video Blog

This is my first of hopefully many podcasts. It is not necessarily the way I wished to begin, however I feel that my message is vital for the health and wellbeing of those who are still unsure of the Kimkins program.

I wanted to address my friends still within that program. I want you to know my heart. I have nothing but love for you all. I am so saddened that it has all come to this... Please heed my warning. God has so much more for you... He wants you to live a healthy, happy and long life. He has given us this body as a temple, and it is up to us to respect it, and treat it right. Not deprive it of valuable and necessary things that He has put on this earth for our nurishment and enjoyment.

God bless my friends and I look forward to sharing even more with you.

Christin, thank you SO much. My 16 year old daughter came in while I was watching the video and she watched with me. I think it was a great lesson for her to hear. She said you were very brave, and I agreed. Tears were in my eyes through a lot of it.

I do hope you get a second opinion, specifically from a doctor experienced with the physical consequences of anorexia. Heart problems are common in that group, and you want to make sure you are covering all your bases at this point. There's no use taking any chances.

God bless you and your family. You continue to be in my prayers.

I hope everyone doing or that has done or that are thinking of doing the "kimkins" watches your video and realizes the harm they will be doing to their body and their family.I will direct all my contacts from kimkins to your video blog. What a beautiful woman with a message from God! You keep shining my friend because you ARE making a difference.

We're praying for you still and wish nothing but great things for you as you continue this journey.

Thank you so much Christin. You are one person I can truly believe.
I wish you well.
If Kimmer really cared about her members, and everything they have been through...she could do this video blog just as easy.
The truth will set you free.
Much love and thanks.

Oh Christin-
You are in my prayers. Thank you so much for your concern, and the time you took to make this message available.

Christin,

Hope you are feeling better soon! Your willingness to come forward in such a personal and honest way will definitely have a meaningful and positive effect on people searching for a way to lose safely. This message cannot be said too often. Thank you for saying it so brilliantly!

Christin,

Wow. When you talk about the aftermath of kimkins for you, it sounds so much like what many of us have been going through. I also did kimkins as written until my body staged a coup and I started binging. I'm still trying to get that under control. I have been lucky not to experience chest pain but I have had excessive hair loss, obsessive thoughts, dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms. Thank you so much for your honesty. I have linked you on my blog. I hope your message gets out to all of those still doing that plan. My prayers are with you and your family for good health.

I am overwhelmed guys... thank you so much for your kindness to me. I just want to express to those still in this thing... it's not too late. I will be here for you, you are not alone.

To the poster who needed their posting name changed, I have not yet deleted your comment, but I do not have the ability to do what you asked. Please let me know if you still wish me to publish it.

JT - I will post a summary tomorrow for you ((HUG))

Thanks again everyone for the significant part you are playing in my life right now.. You are such a blessing to me!

Hi Christin!
I was starting the Kimins program but could not stay on it as I was not strict enough to. I am glad i did not. I did some search about Godly ways of eating by His plan and I got this book http://www.hacres.com/home/home.asp and read it. I highly recommend it. I have started this way of eating as God intended and I feel great. I am slowly losing weight but am feeling healthier.
I am sorry about the things you are going through as well as the other girls. HUGS HUGS

Christin, I have no doubt that your poignant and heartfelt message about the dangers of Kimkins will spread far and wide. You have a rare gift. Thank you for sharing that with us.

I am truly amazed that even while suffering a personal health crisis, you have taken the time to help others.

You are truly a woman of grace, compassion, and fortitude.

Peace and health be with you.

What an incredible example you are for all of us. Without you, Deni, Becky, and Sosumi for contacting me, I'd still be in the dark. Thank you for being a light, by which we can find our own way. Keep lighting the way sister, more will see and follow! Blessings, T.

Thanks for this heartfelt message, Christin. I too had tears in my eyes at your painful journey. You have such a sweet spirit that just shines through.

I remember KimKims from LCF days and had tried it a couple of times but never had the willpower to stick to it (luckily). Now I'm very grateful for that and that I have found out all this so that I can avoid such drastic measures in future. Sometimes we get so desperate to lose the weight that it almost seems like anything would be worth it, but if we lose our health we lose everything.

God bless you for caring enough about us all to speak up. You're in my prayers and I hope you get good news on your test results.

In Christ,

Lori

Christin, would you please consider contacting Lizza at Weight Loss Tips and asking her to remove your updated interview there? http://wltips.com/Christin-Kimkins-Program.html

Lizza won't take the interview down until you ask her to. If you re-read it, perhaps you will see that enough of the original interview material remains to tempt people to Google Kimkins and then try to emulate your success. Like so many ex-Kimkinites, they will imagine that they will be lucky and avoid the side effects you've had to cope with.

In any case, thanks for your video. It was very moving.

Christin, thank you so much for sharing your story. I thank God that I only did Kimkins for 8 weeks. I am so grateful for you, coming forward and exposing the longterm health risks. I pray for the best for you and restored health.

Christin,
Let me tell you sweetie you are a tough act to follow! What compassion and grace!
Even tough old me cried a bit when I was listening to you. I have certainly talked with my higher power and told him if he lets anything bad happen to you there IS going to be trouble. Hugs to you.

Christin---my heart goes out to you at this time. You message is strong and moving. I send positive energy your way. Your faith will see you through these trying times ahead.

Thank you for sharing your story with everyone.

Christin you are very courageous to tell your story. Hopefully Kimkins devotees will listen to you.
Its sad that so many people are so desperate to lose weight that they can't see diet scams for what they are, but it's certainly an understandable phenomenon.

I sincerely hope your health is not irreversibly damaged. You will be in my prayers. God Bless You.

I used VLCD and some other fad weight loss methods before and I lost more than 90lbs in less than 6 months (anyway I also added quite a lot of exercises that time). I had severe hair loss problem too that time. It was about 7 years ago.

I regained all the weight plus a few more pounds in 3 years. I believed I had binge eating disorder but I did not seek professional assistance.

Today, I am on my own diet, I cut down my food, eliminate the dinner binge, I eat 3 meals a day and snack in between when I feel hungry. I also walk and jog. I lost 32lbs in 11 weeks.

I think I am on a healthy lifestyle now but unfortunately I still have some hair loss according to my hair stylist. The fortunate part is the condition is not as bad as 7 years ago and I discover this early. I am now taking some nutrient supplements made for hair grow, I think I am missing some key nutrients in my diet but I don't what is it.

Anyway, although I am not in Kimkins, your story has made me more determined that I should do some lab tests and body check-up about my current health condition , and see doctor to make sure I am doing it in the safest way. Thank you very much of sharing this, you are very brave!

John 8: 1 – 11
3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court,
4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act.
5"Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?"
6They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground.
7But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
8Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court.
10Straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?"
11She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either Go From now on sin no more."

Matthew 5: 43 – 48
43"You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46"For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47"If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
48"Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Christin, I typed and poof it was gone, Im sorry if Im repeating myself. I quit Kimkins due to severe dizziness. If any of you remember, way back in I think March or April I spent 5 days in the hopsital. The Drs thought I was having a stroke and quite frankly, so did I!! Once I quit Kimkins (and felt ashamed that I couldnt stick with it!) and eventually went to Atkins...I suddenly felt much better.
I will pray everything is going to be ok for you honey. Im in utter shock about all Ive read about Heidi...1000s need to know. Hello Cutie, Becky etc etc, lovely to "SEE" you. Love you Christin! Susan (Susique the gal with the flying chicky avitar)

Thank you Christin, I needed to hear your message. I first began to wonder about my new diet program when out of the blue I was having very pro-ana thoughts. I started KK in June, but I ended it yesterday. I am not anywhere near goal, but I want to be alive to actually see goal! My hair has been falling out over the last few weeks, when does it stop?

Christin, I to have been having major health issues and in fact almost died and coded three times. I to was having heart issues, loosing hair, dizziness, sudden onset diabetes and a host of other problems since starting KimKins. I as well as my family have never ever been as scared as we were just a few short weeks ago. I was in the hospital for one month loosing so much muscle mass that I will be in physical therapy for months to come. I so wish I had never went on KimKins and I so wish everyone else would come off of it. I went on this diet to feel better as well as to support my daughter, brother and sister-in-law, yes we were all on it and yes we all sustained health issues.Thank goodness their symptoms were not as severe as mine thus far. The doctors don't know how much damage was caused in my case and we may never know for sure. Your a very brave person and your my hero. God Bless you and Yours and Keep the faith and with God all things are possible. Thank you my friend for being so honest, caring and having the compassion to tell your story and I don't mind sharing mine as well. We MUST get the word out to all the people who will do most anything to loose weight in hopes of feeling better. Again God Bless You!

Sincerely,
Rhodonna

Any news on the testing? I'm really concerned for you and others. I especially feel bad for Rhodonlous! Thankfully, I didn't have the willpower to carry on more than 3 weeks on Kimkins. I lost 16 pounds and stalled, so I got discouraged.

Christin, Becky, and Deni - thank you for continuing to post. There are many more who need to hear your messages. Two of my dear KK friends just got banned this week after watching your video. It really opened their eyes to the dangers, and I'm so SO thankful!!!

jlHey Christin! You are such a brave person and I commend you on standing up an doing the right thing! I decided to email "Kimmer" and questioned her about the controversy and the pending lawsuit. I asked her if I joined and the courts disbanded her a few months later would I be reimbursed the $79.95 joining fee. This is EXACTLY what she wrote:

Hi Christy,

Hmmm, that's a lot to guarantee. I think you might be better off choosing another diet plan like www.weightwatchers.com or www.southbeachdiet.com. Weight loss will be slower and they cost $350 per year, but you may feel more secure.

We wish you the very best in your weight loss goals!

Best regards,
Kimmer

DOES SHE SERIOUSLY THINK THAT $79.95 IS TOO MUCH TO GUARANTEE WHEN PAYPAL REPORTS HER ACCOUNT AS RECEIVING 1.2 MILLION LAST YEAR????

Keep up the good work and please refer me to others as I have kept the ridiculous email from her as even more testimony as to how fake and fraudulant she is!
